His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Law Enforcement (Controlled Operations) Act 1997.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Law Enforcement (Controlled Operations) Act 1997 (the Act) to prescribe the Criminal Investigation (Covert Powers) Act 2012 of Western Australia as a corresponding law, in order to recognise Western Australia as a participating jurisdiction for the purposes of cross-border controlled operations under the Act.

This Regulation is made under the Law Enforcement (Controlled Operations) Act 1997, including sections 4 and 31 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Law Enforcement (Controlled Operations)

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.
