Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Law Enforcement and National Security (Assumed Identities) Act 1998.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to update a reference to the office-holders in the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) to whom the chief executive officer of ASIO may delegate functions under the Law Enforcement and National Security (Assumed Identities) Act 1998.
This Regulation is made under the Law Enforcement and National Security (Assumed Identities) Act 1998, including sections 16 (Delegations) and 19 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Law Enforcement and National Security
(Assumed Identities) Amendment Regulation 2009.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Law Enforcement and National Security (Assumed Identities) Regulation 2004
Clause 7 Delegations
Omit “Manager/New South Wales (Position Identifier 103004)” from clause 7 (f).
Insert instead “any office designated as Band 2, Senior Executive
Service Officer, New South Wales”.
