An Act to repeal "The Law and Parliamentary Library Amendment Act, 1881," and to make other provision's in lien thereof.

[Assented to, 18th September, 1885.]

HEREAS it is expedient to repeal " The Law and Parliamen-

tary Library Amendment Act, 1881," and to make other

provisions in lieu thereof, in respect of the formation and constitu-

tion of the Library Committee established under the provisions of

the said Act: Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of

Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. THE Law and Parliamentary Library Committee shall con- sist of five members, two of whom shall be the Chief Justice and Formation of a

Library Committee

the Attorney General for the time being, or such two other officers

as the Governor may appoint, and three of whom shall consist of unofficial members of the Legislative Council to be appointed in that behalf by the said Council from time to time; and any three members

se appointed as aforesaid shall form a quorum for the despatch of

business. In the event of the dissolution of the Legislative Council,

or of its expiring by effluxion of time, the Committee constituted

as aforesaid shall continue to exist until the newly elected Council shall proceed to the appointment of three unofficial members as hereinbefore provided

THIS Act and " The Law and Parliamentary Library Act,

with Act of 1878.

1873," shall be read together as one Act.

4.     " THE Law and Parliamentary Library Amendment Act,

1881," shall be and the same is hereby repealed.
