LAPORTE INDUSTRIAL FACTORY AGREEMENT.

AN ACT to amend the Laporte Industrial Factory
Agreement Act 1961-1965.
[Assented to 24 November 1982.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Laporte Short title
Industrial Factory Agreement Amendment Act 1982. tlgtio,

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Laporte Industrial Factory Agreement Act 1961-1982.

Section 2
| amended. | 2. | Section 2 of the principal Act is amended (a) in the definition of "the Agreement"— |
(i) by deleting "the Schedule" and substituting the following-
" Schedule 1 " ; and
(ii) by inserting after "time to time" the following
, and also means that agreement
as varied by the Variation
Agreement " ; and
| (b) | by inserting after the definition of "the State" the following definition- |
" "the Variation Agreement" means the
agreement a copy of which is set
out in Schedule 2 to this Act; " .
Section 3A

THIS AGREEMENT is made the 15th day of October 1982 BETWEEN THE HONOURABLE RAYMOND JAMES O'CONNOR, M.L.A., Premier of the State of Western Aust- ralia, acting for and on behalf of the said State and its instrumentalities from time to time (hereinafter called

"the State") of the one part and LAPORTE AUSTRALIA LIMITED the name whereof was formerly Laporte Titanium (Australia) Limited a company duly incorporated in the State of Western Australia and having its registered office at Old Coast Road, Australind (hereinafter called "the Company") of the other part.
WHEREAS:
| (a) | the State and the Company (pursuant to assign- ment) are now the parties to the agreement defined in section 2 of the Laporte Industrial Factory Agreement Act 1961-1965 (which agreement is here- inafter referred to as "the principal agreement"); and |
| (b) | the parties desire to vary the principal agreement. |
NOW THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH-
1. The provisions of this Agreement shall not come into operation until a Bill to approve and ratify this Agreement is passed by the Legislature of the said State and comes into operation as an Act.
2. The principal agreement is hereby varied in subclause (1) of Clause 10 by deleting "in the ocean".
