Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Part 1 — Preliminary

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Lands Regulations Amendment (Legal
Profession) Regulations 2022.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) Part 1 — on the day on which these regulations are

published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day on which the

Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2022

section 6 comes into operation.

Part 2 — Community Titles Regulations 2021 amended

3.             Regulations amended

This Part amends the Community Titles Regulations 2021.

4.             Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3 in the definition of local legal practitioner delete

“Legal Profession Act 2008 section 3;” and insert:

Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2022

section 3(1);

5.             Regulation 108 amended

In regulation 108 in the definition of advisory service

paragraph (c) delete “Legal Profession Act 2008 section 3)” and

insert:

Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2022

section 3(1))

6.             Regulation 112 amended

In regulation 112(1)(a) delete “an Australian” and insert:

7.             Regulations amended

This Part amends the Strata Titles (General) Regulations 2019.

8.             Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3 in the definition of local legal practitioner delete

“Legal Profession Act 2008 section 3;” and insert:

Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2022

section 3(1);

9.             Regulation 131 amended

In regulation 131(3) delete “(within the meaning given in the
Legal Profession Act 2008 section 3).” and insert:

(as defined in the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application
Act 2022 section 3(1)).
