2 Lands Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1992 PART 1—PRELIMINARY Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Lands Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1992 . Commencement 2.(1) Subject to subsection (2), this regulation commences on 1 March 1992. (2) Sections 7 and 9 commence on the day this regulation is gazetted. PART 2—AMENDMENT OF LAND REGULATION 1988 Amended regulation 3. The Land Regulation 1988 is amended as set out in this Part. Amendment of s.44 (Interest rates) 4.(1) Section 44(1)— omit ‘ 12.38% ’ , insert ‘ 11.44% ’. (2) Section 44(2)— omit ‘ 8.38% ’ , insert ‘ 7.44%, calculated on yearly rests ’. (3) Section 44(3)— omit ‘ 12.38% ’ , insert ‘ 11.44% ’. (4) Section 44(4)— omit ‘ 12.38% ’ , insert ‘ 11.44% ’.

Amendment of s.49 (Hardship—s.248A of the Act) 5.(1) Section 49(1)(a)(i)— after ‘ 7% ’ , insert ‘ , calculated on yearly rests ’. (2) Section 49(1)(a)(ii)— after ‘ 7% ’ , insert ‘ , calculated on yearly rests ’. (3) Section 49(1)(b)— omit ‘ 12.38% ’ , insert ‘ 11.44%, calculated on yearly rests ’. Amendment of s.50 (Penalty interest rates—s.249 of the Act) 6. Section 50(1)— omit ‘ 14.88% ’ , insert ‘ 13.94%, calculated on yearly rests ’. PART 3—AMENDMENT OF LANDS LEGISLATION AMENDMENT REGULATION 1991 Amended regulation 7. The Lands Legislation Amendment Regulation 1991 is amended as set out in this Part. Amendment of s.35 (Interest rate) 8. Section 35— omit ‘ section 110(8) of the Act is 8.38% ’ , insert ‘ section 109(8) of the Act is 7.44%, calculated on yearly rests ’.
