Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act 1961 (NSW)

LANDLORD AND TENANT (AMENDMENT) ACT.

An Act to amend paragraph (e) of subsection one of section twenty-one, subsections one and (1A) of section sixty-five, and subsection two of section seventy, of the Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act, 1948, as amended by subsequent Acts; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 20th September, 1961.] BE

BE	it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as
follows: —

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Landlord and

Tenant (Amendment) Act, 1961" .

(2) The Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act. 1948, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act, 1948-1961.

2. The Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act, 1948,

as amended by subsequent Acts, is amended—

(a) by omitting paragraph (e) of subsection one of section twenty-one and by inserting in lieu thereof the following paragraph : —

(e) the rents of other prescribed premises which—

(i) are in the locality of;

(ii)   are subject to the same provisions of this Act as are, and

(iii)   are otherwise comparable in all respects to,

the premises the subject of the application; by omitting from subsections one and (1A) of section sixty-five the words "one thousand nine

hundred and sixty-two" wherever occurring and by	inserting in lieu thereof the words "one thousand
nine hundred and sixty-three";
(c)	by omitting from subsection two of section seventy the words "one thousand nine hundred and sixty- two" and by inserting in lieu thereof the words "one thousand nine hundred and sixty-three".
