LAND VALUATION
No. 41 of 1967
An Ordinance to amend the Land Valuation Ordinance
1936-1966.
1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Land Valuation Ordinance 1967.*
(2.) The Land Valuation Ordinance 1936-1966, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Land Valuation Ordinance 1936- 1967.
2 . After section 15 of the Land Valuation Ordinance 1936-1966 the following section is inserted:—
" 15A .—(1. ) A person who attends for the purpose of giving evidence before the Commissioner or a Deputy Land Commissioner is entitled to receive such fees and allowances as the Commissioner or the Deputy Land Commissioner thinks fit to allow in accordance with the scale of fees and allowances prescribed from time to time, for the purposes of section twenty-seven of the Public Works Committee Act 1913-
1966, by the Public Works Committee Regulations.
" (2.) Fees and allowances payable to a person in accordance with the last preceding sub-section are payable—
( A ) if the person attended before the Commissioner or the
Deputy Land Commissioner, whether on summons or not, by reason of a request by a person other than the Com missioner or the Deputy Land Commissioner or an officer of the Department of the Interior—by the person at whose request the first-mentioned person attended; or
(b) in any other case—by the Commonwealth.".
