LAND TAX ASSESSMENT

AMENDMENT ACT

No. 11 of 1990

AN ACT to amend the Land Tax Assessment Act 1976.

[Assented to 31 July 1990.]

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Land Tax Assessment Amendment

Act 1990.

Commencement

2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives

the Royal Assent.

Application

3.    The amendments effected by this Act apply in respect of the year

of assessment commencing on 1 July 1989 and each subsequent year of

assessment.

Section 5 amended

4. Section 5 of the Land Tax Assessment Act 1976* is amended in

subsection (1) by inserting, in the appropriate alphabetical positions, the

following definitions

ft "Crown" means the Crown in right of the State;

"public statutory authority" means a public statutory authority

established or continued in existence under a written law

of the State; ".
