Finance. 21. There shall be kept in the Treasury a Fund to be called "The Upper Burnett and Callide Land Settlement Fund." All expenditure under or for the purposes of this Act shall be paid out of such Fund. . All moneys other than rents of selections received under this Act shall be paid into such Fund. Audit. 22. Accounts kept under or in pursuance of this Act shall be subject to audit by the Auditor-General. Regulations. 23. The Governor in Council may from time to time make regulations for the effective execution of this Act. and the provisions of section two hundred and nine of the Principal Act shall apply to such regulations. LAXD 'l'AX. 10653 1923. Land Tal: Act Amendment Act. 2. In section 9A of the Principal Act, the words Amendment "one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three" are of s. 2. repealed and the words "one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four" are inserted in lieu thereof. 3. In section eleven of the Principal Act, all words Amendment in the paragraph beginning with the words "If land not of s. 11. exceeding an unimproved value of two thousand five hundred pounds" and ending with the words "respective shares" are repealed. 4. The following amendments are made in section Amendment forty-eight of the Principal Act:- of s. 48. (1.) In paragraph (a), after the word "return" the words "or information" are inserted; and after the word "Commissioner" the words "or to comply with any requirement of the Commissioner" are inserted. (2.) After paragraph (c) the following paragraph is inserted :- "(d) After conviction for an offence against the provisions of paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of this section, continues to commit such offence in respect of which he was convicted," 5 The following amendments are made in section Amendment fifty-eight of the Principal Act:- of s. 58. (1.) In subsection eight, after the word "return" where it twice occurs the words "or notification of sale or disposal of land" are inserted. (2.) In subsection eleven, after the word" deduction" the words "or that any person is not liable to furnish any return required by the Commissioner" are inserted. 6. The amendments of the Principal Act hereby ~etrospec made shall be deemed to have been made therein on the ~l;:ration. twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three. -
