An Act to enforce the provisions for Arbitration contained

in the Land Regulations of 1887.

[Assented to 7th December, 1888.

HEREAS by and under the One hundred and eighth and One

Wday of March, 1887, certain provisions are made for Arbitration in hundred and ninth of the Land Regulations of the Second certain cases, and doubts have arisen as to whether such provisions have the force of law : Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows :-

2. That the effect of an arbitration under the provisions of the One hundred and eighth of the Land Regulations proclaimed on the second day of March, 1887, shall be as if the parties thereto had voluntarily submitted to arbitration the question arbitrated, and had agreed to make any award given thereon a rule of the Supreme Court.

3. That if costs be awarded as provided in the said One hundred

and eighth regulation the same may be sued for in the Supreme Court

and recovered, together with full costs of suit, as between attorney and
