An Act to amend the Land (Planning and Environment) Act 1991

Notified under the Legislation Act 2001 on 10 October 2002

(see Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1. Name of Act

   This Act is the Land (Planning and Environment) Amendment Act 2002.

2. Commencement

   This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

3. Act amended

   This Act amends the Land (Planning and Environment) Act 1991.

4. Section 247 (2) (d)

   renumber as section 247 (2) (c)

5. Section 247 (3) (c)

   substitute

   (c)to each person who had objected under section 237 (Objections—general) to the grant of the approval; and

   (d)to any relevant Territory authority.

6. New section 247 (4) and (5)

   insert

7. Subsection (2) (b) as inserted by the Land (Planning and Environment) Amendment Act 2002 does not apply to applications under subsection (1) made before the commencement of that Act.

8. Subsection (4) and this subsection expire 6 months after their commencement.
