AN ACT to amend section ninety of the Land

Drainage Act, 1925-1972.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Land

Drainage Act Amendment Act, 1977.	and citation.

Section 90

amended. 2. Section 90 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by deleting the words "two dollars", in line one, and substituting the words "such amount as is prescribed"; and

(b)

by deleting the passage "the annual rates in respect of which on the unimproved value or the area, as the case may be, would not amount to two dollars", in lines five, six and seven, and substituting the passage "notwithstanding that if imposed under other provisions of this Act the rate payable in respect of that land would be less, and the restrictions imposed by subsection (2) of section eighty-eight of this Act do not apply to any such minimum rate".
