AN ACT to amend section thirty-nine and Part IV,

of the Land Act, 1898.

[Assented to 22nd December, 19301

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia,

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority

of the same. as follows :-

This Act may be cited as the Land Act Amendment Act, 1930, and shall be read as one with the Land Act,

1898 (hereinafter referred to as " the principal Act ").

Section thirty-nine of the principal Act, as amended

by section two of the Land Act Amendment Act, 1922,

is further amended by inserting a subclause as follows :-

s. 39.

(14) (b) For sites for cottages for eligible persons under

the provisions of the Housing Trust Act, 1930.

Notwithstanding anything contained in Part IV. of and dispose of town and suburban land to the Housing Trust constituted under the Housing Trust Act, 1930, for the purpose of such lands being dealt with under the provisions of the said Act, without submitting such land for public auction. Such lands may be disposed of free to the Housing Trust, or to be paid for in cash by the Housing Trust at a valuation to be fixed at the time of dis- posal, as the Governor may determine.

Regulations.

4.

The Governor may make regulations not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing the terms and conditions under which such lands may be granted and disposed of to the Housing Trust, and the forms of Crown Grant to be used in connection with grants of land to the Housing Trust under the provisions of this Act.
