PRIVATE ACT

AN ACT to amend au Act intituled the Land

Act, 1898, Amendment Act (Private), 1899.

[Assented to 16th Jammu, 1904.]

HEREAS it is desirable that power should be given to the

Minister for Lands to re-classify the lands set forth in the

Schedule to the Land Act, 1898, Amendment Act (Private), 1899,

and to grant any waste lands of the Crown to the transferee in

exchange for any portion of the said lands : Be it therefore enacted

by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly

of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and

by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1.     THIS Act may be cited as the Land Act Amendment Act, Short title.

1904 (Private Act), and shall be read as one with the Land Act, 1898, Amendment Act (Private), 1899, hereinafter called the principal Act.

2.      THE Minister for Lands may re-classify the lands set forth Power to re-classify

in the Schedule to the principal Act, and may accept from the lands.

transferee surrenders thereof and re-grant such lands in accordance with such re-classification, and may adjust the rents paid in respect thereof accordingly.

Power to exchange 3. THE Minister for Lands may grant to the transferee any

lands,

waste lands of the Crown, not exceeding two thousand acres, in exchange for any portion of the lands set forth in the said Schedule: provided that the portion proposed to be so exchanged be in one continuous area.
