An Act to vest certain lands at Wollstonecraft in His Majesty for certain purposes; and for purposes connected therewith.

1Name of Act and commencement(1)

This Act may be cited as the Lady Edith Carpenter Land Vesting Act 1937.

This Act shall be deemed to have commenced on the thirteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.

2Vesting of land(1)

The land described in the Schedule to this Act is hereby divested from Edith Carpenter and vested in His Majesty.

(2)

The land so vested shall, from the commencement of this Act, be deemed to be Crown lands and to be dedicated for hospital purposes in accordance with the provisions of section twenty-four of the Crown Lands Consolidation Act 1913.

3Discharge and annulment of trusts, covenants etc

All trusts, conditions, covenants, easements and encumbrances which, immediately before the commencement of this Act, affected the land described in the Schedule to this Act in the hands of the said Edith Carpenter are hereby discharged and annulled but only in so far as the same affect the land so vested.

Schedule

Land situated at Shirley Road, Wollstonecraft, containing an area of about 1 acre 1 rood 37¼ perches, being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title registered volume 2985, folio 112, of which the registered proprietor is Edith Carpenter, wife of Walter Randolph Carpenter, of Sydney, Merchant.
