An Act to postpone for a l imited t ime the levying of the Kiama Harbour Tonnage Duty.

[13th October, 1862.]

W H E R E A S by the K i a m a Tonnage Act of 1861 a Tonnage Duty

upon certain ships or vessels entering K iama Harbour was made leviable from and after the first day of Ju ly now next ensuing to be applied towards paying off a loan for improvements to the said harbour and fully carrying out such improvements And whereas such improve­ ments are not sufficiently advanced to justify the levying of such duty on and from the said day and it is therefore expedient to postpone the same B e it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legis­ lative Assembly of New South W a l e s in Par l iament assembled and by the authori ty of the same as follows :—

1. The Tonnage Duty imposed by the said Act shall not be demanded or become payable before the first clay of Ju ly one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.
