An Act to enlarge the bouridaries of the Town of Kensinayton and
Norwood, and fbr other purposes. [Assented to,

and Norwood from the Eastern Park Lands of the City of Adelaide, commonly known as " Dequetteville-terrace," has sincethe year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six been made, maintained, and repaired by the Corporation of the Town of Ihnsington and Norwood, but doubts are entertained whether such road is legally within the limits of the said Corporate Town: And whereas the Main Road numbered 31 in the Third Schedule to the
a Main Roads Act, 1574," abuts on and runs and extends along the whole of the northerly boundary of Section No. 255, situate in the Hundred of Sdelaide, which said Section forms that portion of Kensington and Norwood called Kent Ward: And whereas the Main Road numbered37 in the Third Schcdulc to the said Main Roads Act, 1874," abuts on and runs and extends along the whole of the northern boundaries of the Sections numbered respectively 260 and277, which said Sections respectively form part of that portion of the Town of Kensington and Norwood called East Norwood Ward and West Norwood Ward respectively: And whereas in consequence of the said Main Roads numbered31 and37 not being under the care, management, and control of the said Corporation, or within the limits of thc said Town of Kensington and Norwood, the said Corporation are unable to expend the ratesor other moneys of the said town in the improvements of the foot-

paths extending along the whole of the said northen1 boundary of the said Sections numbered
255, 260, and 277, and in consequence thereof the owners and occupiers of the land fronting such roads are put to considerable trouble, and suffer great hardships: And whereas i t is expedient to settle such doubts and to include the said strip of land, called Dequetteville-terrace, within the limits of the said town, and also to confer upon the said Corporation the power to lay out and expend money arising from municipal rates, or other moneys, inthe formation and repairing of the said footpaths and the watertables
