v
THE KING
[2024] HCASL 289
B38/2024
The applicant requires an extension of time within which to seek special leave to appeal from a judgment of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Queensland (Mullins P and Dalton JA; Davis J dissenting) which dismissed an appeal against convictions following a trial by jury in the District Court of Queensland (Chowdhury DCJ).
The proposed ground of appeal lacks sufficient prospects of success to warrant the grant of special leave to appeal. Accordingly, it would be futile to grant the extension of time.
Special leave to appeal is refused.
