An Act to restrict and prohibit the use of tobacco,
cigars, and cigarettes by juvenile members
of the community. [30th November, 1903.]
| Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, | BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and |
| and by the authority of the same, as follows :— | |
| 1. Any dealer in tobacco, cigars, or cigarettes, and any licensed tobacconist, or other person who supplies any person actually or apparently under the age of sixteen years with tobacco in any shape or form, cigars, or cigarettes, shall he liable to a fine not exceeding five | |
| pounds. |
2. Pines imposed by this Act may be recovered before, and
offences against this Act may be heard and determined by, any two
justices in petty sessions or a police or stipendiary magistrate.
3. This Act may be cited as the "Juveni le Smoking Suppression
Act of 1903 ."
