I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance
of section 2 of the Justices (Paper Committals) Amendment Act 1987, do,
by this my Proclamation, appoint 29 March 1992 as the day on which the
uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain amendments to the Justices Act 1902 made by Schedules 1 (2) (b) and (3) and 2 (1) (e) to the Justices
(Paper Committals) Amendment Act 1987. Those amendments:
(a) restrict the defendant’s right in paper committal proceedings to call and cross-examine the victims of sexual assault and certain other offences
involving violence; and
