Justices Amendment Rules 2013

The Magistrates Rule Committee, in the exercise of its powers under section 15AE of the Magistrates Court Act 1987 , makes the following rules of court for courts of summary jurisdiction exercising jurisdiction under the Justices Act 1959 .

1Short titleThese rules may be cited as the Justices Amendment Rules 2013 . 2CommencementThese rules take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RulesIn these rules, the Justices Rules 2003 are referred to as the Principal Rules. 4Schedule 2 amended (Offences) Schedule 2 to the Principal Rules is amended by inserting after item 8 the following item:

8A.  An offence under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (Tasmania) Act 2013 , except sections 30(1), 228(1), 250(1), 251(1), 254(1), 256(1), 258(1), 260(1), 533(7) and 534(5) of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (Tasmania), and any regulations that apply in Tasmania for the purposes of that Law

These rules of court were made by the Magistrates Rule Committee at a meeting held on 23 August 2013.
