s1 2 s3 Justices Amendment (No. 3) No. 303, 1998 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Justices Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 1998 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Justices Regulation 1993 . ˙ Insertion of new ss 19 and 20 3. After section 18— insert— ˙ ‘ Postponed commencement of uncommenced provision—the Act, s 147A ‘ 19.(1) In this section— “postponed law” means the Justice and Other Legislation (MiscellaneousProvisions) Act (No. 2) 1997 , section 60. 1 ‘ (2) The period before automatic commencement, under the ActsInterpretation Act 1954 , section 15DA(2), of the postponed law is extended to the end of 30 November 1999. 2 ˙ ‘ Postponed commencement of uncommenced provision—the Act, s 159 ‘ 20.(1) In this section— “postponed law” means the Justice and Other Legislation (MiscellaneousProvisions) Act (No. 2) 1997, section 61. 3 1 Justice and Other Legislation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1997 , section 60 (Amendment of s 147A (Powers of justices to reopen proceedings and rectify orders)) amends the Justices Act 1886 . 2 The postponed law now automatically commences on 1 December 1999. 3 JusticeandOtherLegislation(MiscellaneousProvisions)Act(No.2)1997 , section 61 (Replacement of section 159 (The sum allowed for costs to be specified in the conviction or order)) amends the Justices Act 1886 .
