JUSTICES ACT 1902 - REGULATION

(Relating to the short description of certain traffic offences)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Justices Act 1902, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986 is amended by inserting in Schedule 1 under the heading "Local Government Act 1919" in Columns 1 and 2, respectively, in appropriate numerical order, the following matter:

Section 269A (15) (b) - in using a vehicle on fail to comply with
a public road, without lawful excuse fail notice erected
to comply with a direction, condition or on or near public
limitation specified in a notice on or in the road
immediate vicinity of a public road
Section 269A (15) (b) - in using a vehicle on contravene notice
a public road, without lawful excuse erected on or
contravene a direction, condition or near public road
limitation specified in a notice on or in
the immediate vicinity of a public road

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986 to prescribe short descriptions for certain offences under the Local Government Act 1919 relating to the

contravention of notices regulating traffic.
