JUSTICES ACT 1902—REGULATION

(Relating to short descriptions of offences under the Roads Act 1993)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Justices Act 1902, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 February 1994.

Amendment

2. The Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other

Offences) Regulation 1986 is amended:

(a) by inserting in Schedule 1, before the matter relating to the Roads (General) Transitional Regulation 1993, the following matter:

Roads Act 1993

Section 108 (2)—drive along a public drive vehicle in breach of general

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to prescribe short descriptions for certain offences under the Roads Act 1993 with respect to the overloading of vehicles. The short descriptions facilitate the enforcement of penalty notices for these offences.

This Regulation is made under the Justices Act 1902, including section 154 (the

general regulation making power) and section 145B.
