JUSTICES ACT 1902-REGULATION
(Relating to short descriptions of maritime offences)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Justices Act 1902, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Maritime (Short Description of Offences) Regulation 1987 is amended:
(a) by omitting from Schedule 1 the words “Board” and “Board’s” wherever occurring (except where amended by paragraphs (b)—(e) of this Regulation) and by inserting instead the words “Minister”
and “Minister’s” respectively;
(b) by omitting from the matter relating to section 26 (c) of the Commercial Vessels Act 1979 in Schedule 1 the words “Board of” wherever occurring;
(c)
by omitting from the matter relating to the Commercial Vessels (Permits) Regulation 1986 in Schedule 1 the words “to Board surveyor”, “to Board officer” and “by Board officer”;
(d)
by omitting from the matter relating to Regulation 24 of the Management of Waters and Waterside Lands Regulations—N.S.W in Schedule 1 the words “the prior consent of an officer of the Board” and by inserting instead the words “prior consent”;
(e)
by omitting from the matter relating to Regulation 113 of the Management of Waters and Waterside Lands Regulations- N.S.W. in Schedule 1 the word “Board’s”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Maritime (Short Description of
| Board on 1 July 1995 by the Ports Corporatisation and Waterways Management Act | Offences) Regulation 1987 consequent on the dissolution of the Maritime Services with references to the Minister and officers of the Minister. |
This Regulation is made under section 145B (Short description of certain offences) of
the Justices Act 1902.
