JUSTICES ACT 1902—REGULATION

(Relating to filing fees for the Self-Enforcing Infringement Notice Scheme)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Justices Act 1902, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 23 September 1991.

Amendment

2. The Justices (Penalty Notices) Regulation 1984 is amended by omitting from clause 6 the matter “$25” and by inserting instead the matter “$35”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Justices Act 1902 provides for the enforcement of penalties in relation to certain minor offences in the local courts jurisdiction through an administrative scheme (Self-Enforcing Infringement Notice Scheme).

The object of this Regulation is to increase the fee for the filing of a certificate
that enables an enforcement order to be made for the purposes of the Scheme.
