JUSTICES ACT 1902—REGULATION

(Relating to courtesy letters)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Justices Act 1902, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Justices (General) Regulation 1993 is amended:

(a) by omitting clause 19;

(b) by omitting Form 2 in Schedule 2.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

At present the Justices (General) Regulation 1993 requires a courtesy letter issued under section 100J of the Justices Act 1902 to be in or to the effect of a form set out in that Regulation. The object of this Regulation is to remove this requirement. The Act does not require the form of a courtesy letter to be prescribed.

This Regulation is made under section 154 (1E) (a) of the Justices Act 1902.
