JUSTICES ACT 1902—REGULATION

(Relating to short descriptions of offences concerning bicycle rack number-plates)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Justices Act 1902, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986 is amended by inserting in Schedule 1 after the last of the matter relating to Regulations 104 (1) (d) and (2) and 129 of the Motor Traffic Regulations 1935 the following matter:

Regulations 104 (5) (a), (6)— stand/drive vehicle with bike
standdrive motor vehicle on plate/rack not securely affixed
public street with bicycle
rack number-plate not
securely affixed to bicycle
rack securely affixed to rear
of vehicle
Regulations 104 (5) (b), (6)— stand/drive vehicle with bike
standdrive motor vehicle on plate not parallel to axle/with
public street with bicycle part bike plate above 1.71m
rack number-plate not from ground

placed parallel to rear axle and no part of plate higher than 1.7m from the ground

public street with bicycle footpath

to be clearly seen from

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to provide short descriptions of offences relating to

bicycle rack number-plates under the Motor Traffic Regulations 1935.

This Regulation is made under the Justices Act 1902, including sections 145B (Short

description of certain offences) and 154 (the general regulation-making power).
