His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Justices Act 1902.

Explanatory note
The objects of this Regulation are:
(a)
to provide short descriptions for offences relating to the Roads Act 1993, and
(b)
to repeal short descriptions of offences relating to the Roads (Weight of Loads on Main Roads) Transitional Regulation 1993 and the Roads (Weight of Loads on Roads other than Main Roads) Transitional Regulation 1993, both of which have been repealed.
This Regulation is made under the Justices Act 1902, including section
145B.

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Amendment (Road Transport) Regulation 1997.
2 Commencement
This Regulationcommences commences on 1 July 1997. 3 Amendment of Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986
The Justices (Short Descriptions of Motor Traffic and Other Offences) Regulation 1986 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Omit the matter relating to the Roads Act 1993. Insert instead:

Section 112 (3)—fail to comply breach weight limits for road/bridge/ with the terms of a notice causeway/road-ferry indicating weight restrictions
applicable to certain roads, bridges,
causeways and road-ferries
Section 235 (2)—be the owner of a owner vehicle breach road/bridge/ vehicle in respect of which an causeway/road-ferry weight limit offence under section 112 (3) is
committed
Section 235 (2)—be the person in person in charge vehicle breach charge of a vehicle in respect of road/bridge/causeway/road-ferry which an offence under section 112 weight limit (3) is committed
