Commencement Proclamation

under the

Justice Legislation Amendment Act (No 3) 2018 No 87

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Justice Legislation

Amendment Act (No 3) 2018, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint:

(a)	7 December 2018 as the day on which Schedule 3.1 to that Act commences, and
(b)	1 April 2019 as the day on which Schedule 3.2 to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence:

(a)	on 7 December 2018, Schedule 3.1 to the Justice Legislation Amendment Act (No 3) 2018, which makes amendments to the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 relating to the Public Purpose Fund, and
(b)	on 1 April 2019, Schedule 3.2 to the Justice Legislation Amendment Act (No 3) 2018, which makes amendments to the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Regulation 2015 relating to statutory deposits made by a law practice with the Law Society.
