Justice Legislation Amendment Act (No 2) 2018 No 29

I, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Justice Legislation

Amendment Act (No 2) 2018, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 3 December 2018 as the day

on which Schedule 1.18 [1]–[4] to that Act commences.

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments to the Mental Health (Forensic Provisions)
Act 1990 that relate to the functions of correctional officers and juvenile justice officers in respect of
defendants who appear to be mentally ill persons and the making of bail decisions in respect of those
defendants.
