Jury Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Jury Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Jury Regulation 2007. 3 Amendment of s 10 (Travelling allowance—Act, s 63) (1) Section 10(2)(a), ‘13 cents’— omit, insert— ‘14 cents’. (2) Section 10(2)(b), ‘33 cents’— omit, insert— ‘35 cents’. 4 Amendment of s 11 (Jury fees in civil cases—Act, s 65) Section 11(1), ‘$644’— omit, insert— ‘$664’. 5 Replacement of sch 2 (Remuneration and allowances) Schedule 2— omit, insert— Page 2 2008 SL No. 12

‘Schedule 2 Jury Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 [s 5] Remuneration and allowances sections 8 and 9 $ Person summoned for jury service but not a member of a jury panel 1 Allowance for attending court for each day or part of a day 33.00 Juror or reserve juror 2 Remuneration for each day or part of a day a person serves as a juror or reserve juror on a trial 100.00 3 Additional remuneration for each day or part of a day, after the 20th weekday, a person serves as a juror or reserve juror on a trial 33.00 4 Daily allowance under section 9(2) 100.00 5 Meal allowance if the jury is allowed to separate during a lunch adjournment to obtain a meal 10.50 6 Meal allowance if the jury is allowed to separate during an evening adjournment to obtain a meal 19.50’.
