Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to increase the attendance, travelling and refreshment allowances that are
payable to jurors in relation to jury service.
This Regulation is made under the Jury Act 1977, including sections 72 (Payment for jury service) and 76
(the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Jury Amendment (Jury Service Allowances) Regulation 2014.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2014 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

Schedule 1 Amendment of Jury Regulation 2010

[1]      Schedule 1 Jury service allowances

Omit Part 1. Insert instead:

Omit “$4.30” from paragraph (a). Insert instead “$4.35”.
