Regulation under the Jury Act 1977.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to increase (from $239.20 to $242.30) the daily attendance allowance that
is payable to a juror (who is employed) for the juror’s 11th and subsequent days of jury service.
This Regulation is made under the Jury Act 1977, including sections 72 (Payment for jury service) and
76 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Jury Amendment (Daily Attendance Allowance) Regulation
2016.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2016 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Jury Regulation 2015

Schedule 1 Jury service allowances

Omit “$239.20” from Part 1. Insert instead “$242.30”.
