His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Jury Act 1977.

Explanatory note

Section 72 of the Jury Act 1977 provides that a person who attends court for jury general regulation-making power).

service is entitled to be paid at the prescribed rate for that attendance.
The object of this Regulation is to increase the attendance fees and refreshment
allowances paid to jurors by approximately 2.8%.

Jury Amendment (Fees) Regulation 2000

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Jury Amendment (Fees) Regulation 2000.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2000.

3 Amendment of Jury Regulation 1999

The Jury Regulation 1999 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

4 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.
