Juries Fees Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, NEIL ANTHONY BROWN, the Minister of State for Communications, acting for and on behalf of the Attorney-General, hereby make the following Regulations under the Juries Ordinance 1967.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 4 October 1982.

Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Juries Fees Regulations is repealed and the

following Schedule is substituted:

SCHEDULE Regulation 3
S C A L E O F P A Y M E N T S T O J U R O R S

For a t t endance on the Cour t on a day on which the person summoned or appoin ted to a t tend to serve as a ju ro r does not serve as a m e m b e r of a jury or serves as a member of a ju ry at a tr ial—

(a)

where the period from the t ime at which the person is required or appoin ted to a t tend to the t ime when the person is excused from further a t t endance on that day or is discharged from further service does not exceed 4 hours—$30; and

(b)

where the period from the t ime at which the person is required or appoin ted to a t tend to the t ime when the person is excused from further a t t endance on that day or is discharged from further service exceeds 4 hours—$55 .
