HEREAS it is expedient to amend the Jury Act, 1882, byheamble.
W making provision for the payment of Jurors attending at the Criminal Sittings of the Supreme Court-Be it therefore Enacted, by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

2. Every Juryman summoned, who- sliall attend at any CourtProvision for pay-

laide or elsewhere, who shall not claim exemption to be allowed by | IzC, |
the Court, shall be entitled to rcceive, |
sum as for the time being shall be allowed by law to witnesses | * |
for the prosecution attending at the Criminal Sittings aforesaid; and also a further sum for mileage, upon the same scale as shall for the time being be allowed to witnesses as aforesaid; and such sums shall be paid out of the General Revenue of the Province. |
