Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the
Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the
Dated 22 August 1995.

1.1 The Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see
2.1 Omit the regulation, substitute:
If:
(a) a person appointed to hold the office of Australian Electoral Commissioner was, immediately before the appointment, an unattached officer of the Australian Public Service; and
(b) immediately before becoming an unattached officer, that person was Secretary to the Department of Aboriginal Affairs;
the person is to be paid, during the period of the appointment (including any period of re-appointment) to the office of Australian Electoral Commissioner, instead of the remuneration otherwise payable in respect of that office, remuneration at the Basic Rate set out in Clause 1.1 of Part 1 of Remuneration Tribunal Determination No. 8 of 1994, as in force:
(c) in respect of the period from 16 January 1995 to 28 February 1995 (inclusive)—at the commencement of that period; and
(d) in respect of the period commencing on 1 March 1995—at the commencement of that period.”.
3.1 Omit the regulation.
