and Allowances) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Allowances) Act 1984.

1. Amendment

1.1 The Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and

Regulations.

2 Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and

Allowances)

2. New regulation 4

2.1 After regulation 3, insert:

Remuneration of officer appointed Privacy Commissioner

"4. If a person appointed to hold the office of Privacy Commissioner was, immediately before the appointment, a Second Commissioner of Taxation, the person is to be paid, during the period of the appointment (including any period of re-appointment) to that office, instead of the remuneration otherwise payable in respect of that office, remuneration at the rate of $152,490 a year.".
