AN ACT to amend the Judges' Salaries and Pensions

Act, 1950-1976.

[Assented to 11th October, 1979.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Judges' Eiotrt title citation.

(2) In this Act the Judges' Salaries and Pensions Legiggd

Commence-

ment. 2. This Act shall come into operation on a date

to be fixed by proclamation.

Section 6

amended. 3. Section 6 of the principal Act is amended in

subsection (2)-

(a) by deleting the word "thirty" in line three of paragraph (a) and substituting the word "forty"; and

(b) by deleting in paragraph (b)—

(i)   the word "thirty" in line two and substituting the word "forty"; and

(ii)   the word "four" in line three and substituting the word "two".

Section 7

amended. 4. Section 7 of the principal Act is amended

(a)	in the last line of subsection (1) by deleting the words "to this Act"; and
(b)	in subsection (2) by deleting the words "to this Act" where they occur in lines two and five.

Section 12

amended. 5. Section 12 of the principal Act is amended

(a)	in the penultimate line of subsection (3) by inserting, before the word "Schedule", the word "First"; and
(b)	in line seven of subsection (4) by inserting, after the words "column of the", the word "First".

Section 13

amended.	6. Section 13 of the principal Act is amended in line five of subsection (1) by inserting, before the word "Schedule", the word "First".

Schedule 7. The First Schedule to the principal Act is

amended. amended in the heading by deleting the word "THE".
