17 Qmnslau^ ANNO NONODECIMO ELIZABETHAE SEC UNDAE REGI N AE No. 2 of 1970 4n Act to Amend The Judges' Salaries and Pensions Act of 1967 in certain particulars [ ASSENTED TO 2ND APRIL, 1970] BE 1T ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Judges' Salaries and Pensions Act Amendment Act 1970. (2) The Judges' Salaries and Pensions Act of 1967 is referred to in this Act as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be collectively cited as the Judges' Salaries and Pensions Act 1967-1970. 2. Amendment of s. 3. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (1), (i) omitting the words " seventeen thousand three hundred dollars " and inserting in their stead the words " nineteen thousand five hundred dollars "; (ii) omitting the words " seven hundred dollars " and inserting in their stead the words " one thousand dollars "; (b) in subsection (2), omitting the words " sixteen thousand dollars and inserting in their stead the words " seventeen thousand seven hundred dollars ".
18 Judges ' Salaries and Pensions Act Amendment Act 1970, No. 2 3. Amendment of s. 5 . Section 5 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (1), (i) omitting the words " thirteen thousand dollars " and inserting in their stead the words " thirteen thousand five hundred and fifty dollars "; (ii) inserting after the words " per annum " the words " and in addition thereto that Judge shall be paid an allowance at the rate of one thousand dollars per annum "; (b) in subsection (2), omitting the words " twelve thousand five hundred dollars " and inserting in their stead the words " thirteen thousand five hundred and fifty dollars ".
