No. XVII.

An Act to enable certain Judges of the Supreme Court to sit upon the hearing of certain new Trial Motions. [2nd Decem­ ber, 1887.]

Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative authority of the same, as follows :—

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with

1. Notwithstanding anything in the Act forty-eighth Victoria number thirteen, or in any other Act contained, Mr. Justice Innes may sit upon the hearing of the new trial motion, McMillan and wife v. Finlay and others, and Mr. Justice Faucett may sit upon the hearing of the new trial motion, Mackay v. Try, both such motions being specified in the Schedule to the " Supreme Court Appeals Act of 1887." But nothing in this Act shall affect the provisions of the said last cited Act or of any Act amending the same.
