Jetties Amendment Regulations 2015
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
1. Citation
These regulations are the Jetties Amendment Regulations 2015.
2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b) the rest of the regulations — on 1 August 2015.
3. Regulations amended
These regulations amend the Jetties Regulations 1940.
4. Regulation 3 amended
(1) In regulation 3(2) insert in alphabetical order:
short term means up to one hour in any day;
(2) In regulation 3(3)(c):
(a) in subparagraph (i) delete “as set out in a Schedule; or” and insert:
as determined by the Department and set out on its
website at the time the charge is calculated; or

(b) in subparagraph (ii) delete “length, as set out in a Schedule,” and insert: length

94E. Controlling short term use Where several vessels have applied for short term access to a service wharf or jetty, an officer of the Department may direct that, in particular circumstances, a particular type of vessel, or a specified

Division 1A — Standard rates
1A. Standard rates for this Schedule In this Schedule, the following rates are standard rates — Rate 1: a casual daily rate of $7.15 per metre of the vessel’s length Typically used to calculate the standard daily rate for casual use of a pen or alongside berth (whether or not the alongside berth is on a service wharf or jetty) for a commercial vessel.

Rate 2: a casual daily rate of $50.00
Typically used to calculate the standard daily rate for casual
use of a pen or alongside berth for a recreational vessel.
Rate 3: an annual rate of $80.00 per metre of the vessel’s
length
Typically used to calculate the standard annual rate for short
term use of a service wharf or jetty for a vessel (other thanservice vessels at certain places).
1B. Transferability of annual payments
(1) A vessel for which there has been paid an annual amount for
short term use of a service wharf or jetty at one of the
specified places in a Schedule, may use the service wharf or
jetty for up to an hour in a day at any of the other specified
places.(2) A vessel for which there has been paid an amount to the
Department for annual use of a pen, alongside berth or
mooring at a specified place in a Schedule, may use the
service wharf or jetty for up to an hour in a day at any of the
other specified places.
1C. Service wharf or jetty entitlements A vessel for which there has been paid an amount to the
Department for use of a pen, alongside berth or mooring at a
specified place in a Schedule may have access to the service
wharf or jetty for up to an hour in a day for the duration of
that stay at that specified place.Division 1 — Specified places
1. Albany, Albany Waterfront Marina
(1) This clause applies to the Albany Waterfront Marina at
Albany.(2) The dues and charges to be paid under these regulations are
set out in Table 1.1.

1B. Standard rates for this Schedule In this Schedule, the following rates are standard rates — Rate 1: a casual daily rate of $7.15 per metre of the vessel’s length Typically used to calculate the standard daily rate for casual use of a pen or alongside berth (whether or not the alongside berth is on a service wharf or jetty) for a commercial vessel.
Rate 2: a casual daily rate of $50.00 Typically used to calculate the standard daily rate for casual
use of a pen or alongside berth for a recreational vessel.Rate 3: an annual rate of $80.00 per metre of the vessel’s length Typically used to calculate the standard annual rate for short
term use of a service wharf or jetty for a vessel.1C. Transferability of annual payments
(1) A vessel for which there has been paid an annual amount for
short term use of a service wharf or jetty at one of the
specified places in a Schedule, may use the service wharf or
jetty for up to an hour in a day at any of the other specified
places.(2) A vessel for which there has been paid an amount to the
Department for annual use of a pen, alongside berth or
mooring at a specified place in a Schedule, may use the
service wharf or jetty for up to an hour in a day at any of the
other specified places.
1D. Service wharf or jetty entitlements A vessel for which there has been paid an amount to the
Department for use of a pen, alongside berth or mooring at a
specified place in a Schedule may have access to the service
wharf or jetty for up to an hour in a day for the duration of
that stay at that specified place.

(1) This clause applies to jetties at Barrack Street and
