JETTIES AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1998
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Jetties Amendment Regulations
1998.
Commencement
2. These regulations come into operation on 1 July 1998.
Principal regulations
3. In these regulations the Jetties Act Regulations 1940* are referred to as
the principal regulations.

Appendix I amended
4. (1) Part 1 of Appendix I to the principal regulations is amended —
(a) by deleting the heading "Broome and Wyndham" and substituting the following — " Berthing dues - Broome "; and
(b)
by inserting after those rates and dues and before the heading commencing "Commercial Vessels" the following —

3. Where the Department has to unstuff or unpack a container, the fee is based on equipment and IPLF labour rates for the time involved.
4. Charges for any unspecified services are dependent on the type of service.
5. Under regulation 13, the Port Manager may make extra charges for handling packages over one tonne in weight, or of an exceptional shape, or where extra labour is required or unusual risk is involved.
6. Under regulation 35, the Port Manager may make an extra charge if insufficiently packed goods involve additional labour or risk.
