v
The Australian Workers' Union
(C2011/424)

COMMISSIONER CAMBRIDGE

SYDNEY, 15 JULY 2011

Alleged dispute about any matters arising under the enterprise agreement and the NES;[s186(6)] .

In order to assist the parties in respect of the dispute regarding appropriate methods for payment of wages, Fair Work Australia (FWA) recommends as follows:

[1] It is recommended that the process for payment of wages should involve a fortnightly pay system that includes:

    a) ordinary time payment for the two weeks of the period including the week in which payment is made, and

    b) overtime payments for the first week of the payment period together with any overtime payments from the second week of the previous fortnightly pay period.

[2] Further, it is recommended that the parties are encouraged to engage in discussions aimed at negotiating a more general standardisation of payment of wages systems and arrangements.
