  1. These are applications for special leave to appeal from a judgment of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Queensland (McMurdo JA, Fraser JA and Douglas J agreeing), dismissing two appeals from a judgment of the Supreme Court of Queensland (Applegarth J) in proceedings brought by the applicants.

  2. The applications do not identify any question of principle and there is otherwise no reason to doubt the correctness of the Court of Appeal's judgment.  An appeal to this Court in either matter would enjoy no prospect of success. 

  3. Pursuant to r 41.08.1 of the High Court Rules 2004 (Cth), we direct the Registrar to draw up, sign and seal an order dismissing each application.
