Jackson v Redcliffe City Council and Lancefield

In the Federal Circuit Court, the plaintiff, Jackson, brought an action against the Redcliffe City Council and Lancefield, a company involved in the construction of his home. The plaintiff claimed damages for the defects in the construction of his home. All parties applied for summary judgment, with the plaintiff contending that the defendants’ breach of contract and negligence caused significant damage to his property. The court dismissed the plaintiff’s application for summary judgment and ordered judgment for the defendants on the whole of the plaintiff’s claim. The court also ordered the plaintiff to pay the defendants’ costs of and incidental to the applications before the court, and the action, assessed on the standard basis.
