Irrigation Corporations Amendment New South Wales

Act 1998 No 125—Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Irrigation Corporations Amendment Act 1998, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 10 December 1999 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Irrigation Corporations Amendment Act 1998 that convert Coleambally Irrigation Corporation from a statutory State owned corporation to a company State owned corporation and will enable its further conversion to a class 2 irrigation corporation (owned by irrigators) at a later date by proclamation under the Irrigation Corporations Act 1994.
