IRRIGATION CORPORATIONS ACT 1994 No 41—

PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of sections 2 and 26B of the Irrigation Corporations Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1997 as the day on which:

(a)	section 6 (5) of that Act commences, and
(b)	Murrumbidgee Irrigation Corporation is established by that Act as a corporation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE NOTE

This Proclamation commences provisions of the Irrigation Corporations Act 1994 which have the effect of bringing Murrumbidgee Irrigation Corporation into being as a State owned corporation under the State Owned Corporations Act 1989 and establishing it as a class 1 irrigation corporation under the Irrigation Corporations Act 1994.
